Daryl B began his DJ career in 1992 in London, holding a three-year residency at Wildlife @ Lacey’s with Alex P (Space, Ibiza). This experience opened doors to numerous promotions, including Sun City (Ayia Napa, Cyprus; Ibiza; London, UK), World Dance (Europe, UK), AWOL (London, UK), Back 2 95 (resident at Ministry of Sound), Garage City (London, UK), TNT (Malta), and A One Night Stand (Gass Club, Saturday nights).
Following these early successes, Daryl B secured a five-year residency at the renowned Spread Love @ the Gass Club in London. This groundbreaking event played a pivotal role in the emergence of the original house scene, featuring performances by legendary artists such as Todd Terry, Lenny Fontana, Shades of Rhythm, Matt Jam Lamont, Karl Tuff Enuff Brown, Dream Team, and Norris Da Boss Windross.
Daryl B's career continued to flourish with residencies at Liberty Coliseum (Friday nights) and Club Koo (Thursday and Saturday nights for three years). His talent and reputation led to appearances across Europe, including Southern Sessions in Munich and Cologne, where he was a six-weekly resident for three years. He was also a weekly resident for Pure Silk in Ayia Napa, Cyprus, and El Divino in Ibiza.
Daryl B has played at prestigious venues and events such as Berlin's POPCOM Music Festival (four years), Geneva (Switzerland), Pasha, Amnesia, and Mambo (Ibiza), Ayia Napa (Cyprus), Marbella (Spain), Rhodes (Greece), Paradise and Bobby’s Bar (Tenerife), and TNT Parties in Malta.
DJ Magazine invited Daryl B to the Winter Music Festival in Miami, where he performed alongside Masters At Work, 95 North, and Tony Humphries. In the mid-90s, Daryl B ventured into music production, collaborating with notable artists such as MJ Cole, Mark Yardley (Stanton Warriors), Brian Tharme, and Wayne Hart. Over 12 years, he released around 69 tracks, working with singers like Jocelyn Brown, Mis-Teeq, Atomic Kitten, Tony Momrelle, Carrol Thompson, Connie Harvey, Leona Lewis, Billie Piper, Wendell Richards, and Jo Garland. His biggest hit was a cover of "Street Life" by The Crusaders, released under Broadly Music in the late 90s.
During the 90s, Daryl B also started a pirate radio station, London Underground, which operated for five years. This venture led to a slot on the legal radio station Millennium Dance, broadcasting across the south of England for a couple of years.
Daryl B has continued to play at major promotions in London and the UK, including Smoove @ Ministry of Sound, Back to 95 @ Ministry of Sound, Freedom @ Bagley’s, World Dance (UK), Soul Heaven @ Ministry of Sound, Big @ Rouge, Fuel @ Birmingham, Underground Soul @ Brighton, Garage City (UK), Roast (UK various), Dance Aid @ London various, Sun City (UK various), Vocal Booth Weekender, Soul Fusion @ Birmingham, Soul Fusion Weekender @ Portugal, and Javea Soul Weekender @ Spain.
Recently, Daryl B became a resident DJ for The Only Way Is Garage, performing in and around Birmingham and Spain for the past five years. Look out for his upcoming live streams on Garage Tape Packs and Soul Fusion.
Throughout his career, Daryl B has maintained a steady flow of DJ work and remains in high demand on the Soulful House and Old School House & Garage scenes.
