The One South Africa Movement, led by former DA leader Mmusi Maimane, has approached the High Court in Pretoria to file an urgent application to suspend the reopening of schools. The group says Basic Education Minister Angie Motshekga acted prematurely by reopening schools for grades 7 and 12 learners earlier this month.
