HIV is a sneaky virus, hiding itself from the immune system after infecting a cell. Fortunately, Andrés Finzi from Université de Montréal and collaborators have promising ideas with immense potential to force HIV-infected cells to expose themselves to the immune system and be killed!

As an assistant professor at the department of microbiology, infectiology and immunology of Université de Montréal (UdeM) and researcher at the Centre Hospitalier de l’UdeM, Andrés and his team work tirelessly to find new ways to fight HIV. With an innovative approach in studying the virus, Andrés and his collaborators have reached a major breakthrough which may prove key in the fight for a functional cure.
Professeur adjoint au département de microbiologie, infectiologie et immunologie de l’Université de Montréal (UdeM) et chercheur au Centre de Recherche du Centre Hospitalier de l’UdeM, Andrés travaille avec son équipe à trouver un remède contre le VIH.
