A Penang MCA activist was the centre of attraction when he brought a replica of a giant book estimated to weigh some 15kg to the Penang Legislative Assembly here today.
Penang MCA Civil Society Operations Bureau chief Cheah Chin Woon said the 'book' entitled "Most Expensive Cost RM305million Feasibility Study of Undersea Tunnels and Three Highway Projects" was to enable the public to think about what could be done with the money, instead.
He, however, could not enter the state assembly building after being barred by the police. He was also told not to be present near the assembly building fence to prevent traffic congestion.
Cheah, who was present alone, said he wanted to hand over a replica of the book to Opposition Leader Datuk Muhamad Yusoff Mohd Noor who is also the Sungai Dua State Assemblyman.
