The Women's 4x100m Relay featured seven teams. The Team Line-Ups included highly decorated athletes.
This race was a Tribute to Veteran Swiss Sprinter Léa Sprunger as she is a native of the Swiss Canton of Vaud. The City of Lausanne is the capital of the Canton of Vaud, in the French-Speaking part of Switzerland (Romandy). Sprunger has been competing at a high level representing Switzerland, since, she was 17 years old. Through out her career she has competed in the 200m, the 400m, the 400m Hurdles, the 4X100m Relay, the 4X400m Relay, and the Heptathlon, bringing glory to Switzerland, since, being a teenager, and as the 2018 Women's 400m Hurdles European Champion, and the 2019 Women's 400m European Indoor Champion.
