Sorry it took me over two years to put this performance up; but I think you will find it is worth the wait, if you haven't already seen it elsewhere. This is the original World Fireknife Championship (WFC) performance of Ft. Lauderdale's Preston Weber when he first competed in, and won, the 2010 WFC Keiki (6-11 yo) competition.
Since that time, Preston has gone on to pass several cuts on _America's Got Talent_ in 2011 and to come back and win the 2012 World Fireknife Junior (12-17 yo) competition. At the time of this performance (Preston's first entry into WFC), Preston had been practicing for about a year after seeing a fireknife performance at a FL restaurant, getting hooked, and getting in touch with Rex and VJ Tiumaulu (Epcot Orlando performers) as mentors. As you will see, this performance reflects much time and dedication packed into a very short period of time and is an amazing accomplishment for one's first year in the tradition.
Excellent performance, Preston, this one deserves its place in the modern history of this proud tradition!
