We finally made it up Schiehallion, the 'fairy hill'. It's a walk I have done a few times before, so I already knew what I was in for. We walked for about 5 hours at a comfortable pace and spent 30 minutes resting on top. It's a fairly gradual, but long walk with a lot of rocks right on the top of the mountain. There is a little bit of climbing involved to get to the very top. There's a great view from the top of the Scottish Highlands to the East and West. I would rate the difficulty as easy to moderate for the fact that you have to climb over so many rocks. However this walk got me thinking about how hard it might have been if my legs weren't working perfectly fine. I feel pretty lucky and grateful that I am able to climb mountains without limitations. So if you're not planning to climb Schiehallion or are unable to, I hope you will enjoy the beautiful scenery. :) ☟☟☟
