As part of the weekend events in January 2008 in Naples, Florida, invited to give a lecture-concert at Ave Maria University, the Byzantine Choir of the Greek Orthodox Metropolis of Pittsburgh celebrated Orthros and Divine Liturgy at St-Katherine Greek Orthodox Church.
Leading the two choroi were the unparalleled and talented George Hatzichronoglou (Archon Hymnodist of the Great Church of Christ, Athens Greece) and Constantin Lagouros (Archon Protopsaltis of the Greek Orthodox Metropolis of Canada).
Special guests were also Apostolos Combitsis, Protopsaltis, and Panagiotis Kaskabas of the Greek Orthodox Metropolis of New Jersey.
These two hymns of the Liturgy were composed by Markos Vasileiou at the turn of the last century and are commonly referred to as the "Patriarchika" of Plagal First Tone.
