First Transgender lecturer of MBA in Punjab and gold medalist Khawaja sara Jannat Ali said in a press conference in Lahore that the law has been made for transgenders, but this law is still not accepted at the social and societal level. Transgender Jannat Ali said that despite becoming law, the hatred in the minds of people and society has not ended.
She said that we had a meeting with 2,000 police officers in the past few days that they should deal with us according to the new law and that we should not face harassment, but out of these 2,000 officers, only 20 officers will have their hearts. I felt sympathy for us from 20 police personnel. Jannat Ali said that she herself was not regularized just because he was a transgender.
Woman Police Officer ASP Shehar Bano Naqvi was also present in the conference with these transgenders to show solidarity by Punjab Police.
