Apple has a sound issue with the AirPods Pro that's bad enough for them to offer free replacements for all affected units. Find out about my experience and how I got my free replacement pair of Apple AirPods Pro.

My story begins with simple audio issues that bagan to cause a static hiss in my right ear. After troubleshooting myself and attempting to fix the issue (adjusting the fit, changing the mode, etc.) I could not seem to find the cause. The issue then came to a head when I began running in my AirPods. As soon as I began a more aggressive motion, the right headphone started such a serious, loud static noise that I could barely stand to keep them in my ear.

After such a horrible experience, I began to search the web to find out what was going on. Thankfully, it didn't take long to locate the "AirPods Pro Service Program for Sound Issues" (Link: [ Ссылка ]). This program offers free replacement for affected units and is as simple as scheduling an appointment at your local Apple Store.

I was able to make an appointment at my store and the Apple Genius told me that this is a common issue as of late. He even indicated that his own pair had the same issue and needed to be replaced. After verifying the serial number of my pair, he took them to the back to run a diagnostic test. After about 15 minutes of waiting, the results indicated that both of my AirPods (not just the right one where I had an issue) were impacted and were eligible for replacement. They quickly swapped mine out for a new pair of headphones only (I kept my previous charging case) and I was on my way.
