Around half of the country is waking up in lockdown this morning as the Delta COVID strain wreaks havoc across Australia. Overnight, parts of Queensland became the latest to be slapped with tougher restrictions.
And New South Wales has announced new travel advice for people entering the state, as even more venue alerts are issued for Sydney, but the city's case numbers have remained stable.
