The Benetton B198 was the team's Formula 1 car for the 1998 season:

Design: The B198 featured a high nose for better aerodynamics and was designed by Nick Wirth. It struggled to be competitive due to aero issues.

Engine: It used a rebadged Renault V10 engine under the Playlife brand after Renault’s official exit from F1.

Performance: Benetton finished 4th in the constructors' standings with 33 points, behind McLaren and Ferrari.

Drivers: Giancarlo Fisichella and Alexander Wurz were the main drivers, with Fisichella achieving two podium finishes.

Decline: The B198 signaled Benetton's decline before being rebranded as Renault in 2000.
