If you don’t know him yet, Astor Piazzolla was a composer and bandeonist from Argentina. He played and composed a lot of tango music, to which a new name was given: 'tango nuevo', or 'new tango': a music rooted in traditional tango but with novelties, such as new instruments playing along with the bandoneon, new structures and harmonies. This was the style and genius of Piazzolla. Libertango was first recorded in 1974, it is by far the most famous of his works and you can hear it in countless versions. Hope you’ll like mine!
