LED light is a much safer and more efficient light than old incandescent and halogen light bulbs. LEDs dont get hot like the other two. They also use less energy and save you some bucks on your utility bill. You can pretty much retrofit any type of fixture these days to LED bulbs, including undercabinet lights, street lights, library lights, troffers, and recessed cans. In this video we talk about recessed can lighting. Its a good way to start learning retrofitting. When you get into replacing street lights and troffers you have a more complex job to do. In those cases you need to bypass the ballast and capacitor and wire direct current to it. With can lights, you just need to replace the bulb and trim.
