► Gary Glitter has been jailed for 16 years for sexually abusing girls as young as eight.
The disgraced singer, whose real name is Paul Gadd, was told by the judge that his crimes were appalling and that he'd shown no atonement for what he'd done.
His sentence means he could spend the rest of his life behind bars
