🙏 🙏On July 23, 2023, Russia bombed the historical center of Odessa, which is listed by UNESCO. One of the missiles hit the largest Orthodox church in Odessa, the Spaso_Preobrazhensky Cathedral.
The cathedral is located in the very center of historical Odessa - on Cathedral Square. It was founded in the year of the founding of Odessa by the Russian Empress Catherine the Great in 1794 (the first building). It was destroyed in 1936 by the Bolsheviks. And again recreated since 1996 according to old photos and paintings. The remains of Prince Vorontsov and his wife were transferred here. The monument to Prince Vorontsov stands not far from the temple.
Even in the ruined temple there is a service. Parishioners and citizens of Odessa voluntarily help in the analysis of the rubble. The cathedral raises funds for the restoration of the shrine of Odessa.
Unfortunately, the temple was badly damaged by a rocket. Odessans on the same day began to clear the cathedral and the surrounding area.
People hope that the cathedral will be restored.

This is my hometown. Kharkov from the first hours of the war was and is being subjected to shelling. Many of our friends died, there are those who went missing.

🙏 🙏3 июля 2023 года Россия бомбила исторический центр Одессы, который занесён в список Юнеско. Одна из ракет попала в самый крупный православный храм Одессы- Спасо_Преображенский собор.
Собор находится в самом центре исторической Одессы - на Соборной площади. Был заложен в год основания Одессы российской императрицей Екатериной Великой в 1794 году (первое здание). Был разрушен в 1936 году большевиками. И снова воссоздан с 1996 года по старинным фото и картинам. Сюда были перенесены останки князя Воронцова и его супруги. Памятник князю Воронцову стоит недалеко от храма.
К сожалению, храм сильно пострадал от ракеты. Одесситы в тот же день приступили к расчистке собора и прилегающей территории.
Люди надеются, что собор будет восстановлен.

Харьков с первых часов войны подвергался и подвергается обстрелам. Многие наши знакомые погибли, есть те, кто пропал без вести.
