After a couple of days at Camberwell Depot, E151 was ready to be tested on the roads, before being sent back to Orpington (MB). Coming straight out of the garage, I instantly clocked on that this bus had a higher TopoDyn setting than it's fellow Euro 5 E40Ds, somewhat like the Euro 6 MMCs at Birmingham and Sullivan Buses' E44! Sounds absolutely amazing, and is very quick off the line, and to add to the thrill, the two seats covering the engine weren't present so we could hear the engine slightly more! This was a very lead-footed driver to say the least, powering through the roads of Camberwell, the A2, and Bexleyheath. Unfortunately though, the bus was stuck with a 42mph limiter despite it being set to hit 62mph, and this was because of a fault that the ECU picked up, and was unsolvable in the moment of time. This is the reason why we could only full throttle up to 5th gear, because at full throttle, the bus reaches 6th Gear at a higher speed than 42mph, making it only possible to reach 6th, by letting go of the throttle a bit, before 42mph! However I know you guys will enjoy the gearbox on this, regardless of top speed! Enjoy the video!
