Two Air France flights from the U.S. have been diverted in a terror alert. A flight from Los Angeles to Paris landed at Salt Lake City (left) after a phoned-in terror threat while a second plane originating in Washington D.C. was diverted to Halifax in Nova Scotia over a similar threat. Earlier on Tuesday four passengers were removed from Spirit Airlines Flight 969 (top right) at Baltimore-Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport after a female passenger complained to a flight attendant over the 'suspicious' activity of a group of Muslim passengers. Chicago police bomb squad officers meanwhile (bottom right) investigated an unattended bag at O'Hare Airport and found that it posed no threat, while the U.S. Attorney's Office in Tampa reported that 43-year-old Martin Alan Schnitzler (pictured inset) called the Islamic Society of Pinellas County. The release says he left a voicemail saying he was going to the center to "firebomb you and shoot whoever is there."
