In this Bonsai video I show you how to create a Bonsai Tree from an Azalea! Azaleas are a popular choice for Bonsai because of their small, delicate leaves and beautiful flowers.

I explain how to select good material when browsing for Azalea in a garden centre as well as how to seperate azalea trees when they happen to be planted in a clump (which they usually are). Seperating a clump like the one in this video means you can get more Bonsai trees than you may have originally thought! I also demonstrate how to repot and prune your Azalea to get them started for growing and becoming a great Bonsai!

Azaleas are part of the Rhododendron family, which contains over 1,000 species of plants. They are native to Asia, Europe, and North America, and come in a wide range of colors, from white to pink, red, orange, and even purple. They are a great choice for Bonsai because of their versatility, beauty, and ease of care. With proper training and maintenance, they can thrive for many years, bringing joy and serenity to any space.
