Some rare TV footage of the Artist Mela Muter (1876 – 1967) taken just a year before she passed on, and an item on her exhibition from 1966 held at Jean-Claude Bellier Gallery, Paris that year.
A Jewish painter originally from Poland, Muter went to work in Paris, and became famous for her portraiture, which encompassed a range of contemporary styles in a career that lasted over 60 years.
Mela Muter died in her studio aged 91...I full life well lived.
The film is a telecine 16mm recording from RTF Inter-TV
