(7 Sep 2021) German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier started a state visit to Sweden on Tuesday, the first such state visit hosted by Sweden's King Carl XVI Gustaf in around two years due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Steinmeier paraded through Stockholm on a horse-drawn carriage before an official greeting in the palace courtyard.
Later on Tuesday, he will meet Sweden's prime minister and other officials.
The visit will last three days.
