Ischigualasto Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, isn't far from Villa Union, Argentina. some of the oldest known dinosaur remains as well as fossils can be found here from the 45-million year Triassic Period.

Millions of years of wind erosion on the terrain of sandstone and mudstone has given the park the popular name of "Valley of the Moon" or "Moon Valley."

A ranger leads a caravan of cars through the park along a set route, stops, and explains in Spanish only! Fluency in Spanish is necessary if traveling alone, a guide, or you won't have a clue about the park sights.
