In a video shared on YouTube on August 22, Goshamahal MLA Raja Singh spoke on stand-up comedian Munawar Faruqui and, without taking names, repeated the comments made by suspended BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma. Singh was arrested for his alleged remarks and he was also suspended by the Bharatiya Janata Party on August 23 .
