Ruta De Los Almendros Tenerife is one of the most beautiful destinations to admire the flowering of the almond trees between the end of January and mid-March. The most famous area for this phenomenon is the municipality of Santiago del Teide, where you can go on various hikes or bike rides among the colorful fields. One of the most popular options is the trail which starts from the church square of Santiago del Teide and goes up to the Chinyero volcano, the last one to erupt in Tenerife in 1909. The route is circular and has a length of about 8 km. Another shorter option is the stretch between the villages of Selva and Moscari, which can be done in less than an hour on foot.
