Azerbaijan Airlines Embraer passenger jet crashed near Aktau, Kazakhstan on Dec 25. The crash resulted in 38 fatalities, with 29 survivors. Hours after several reports indicated that the Russian Air Defences accidentaly shot the plane. Reportedly, pilot sent distress call when Russia was responding to Ukraine drone attack. As per multiple reports, viral video shows external damage on the crashed plane. Flight departed from Baku, Azerbaijan, heading to Grozny, Russia. The plane crashed near Aktau, Kazakhstan with 62 passenger, 45 crew members onboard.
