Our new TrackMan®4 arrived to the Zepp Lab today. We have used the technology in the past and I love the side by side comparisons of the numbers. I took a few warm up swings with a 9iron and wanted to show you our set up with both TM, Foresight, and Zepp. Notice the accuracy between the 2 devices along with how fast both provide data after the shot. My goal in 2016 with TM and Zepp is to deliver more relevant but also easier to understand data/content for both teacher and the student. Together they make a powerful teaching tool. With Zepp you also recieve basic metrics that TM does not measure: tempo, hand speed, hand path, full club path, HR, and backswing length. The ability to compare how these metrics relate to TM numbers and how their relationship to ball flight is helpful. A couple of examples are: 1) Scott Cowx's Cowx Release Ratio (CRR): the ratio of hand speed to club speed, a unique way to see if your student is optimizing his/her club speed. 2) Zepp Hand/Club Path compared to both TM's AOA and CP and how that effect ball flight. If any of you have other concepts or way you are using both devices please share. More to come.
