TMC’s fifth pledge for Meghalaya is - "BETTER PRODUCE, HAPPY FARMERS"
Meghalaya's agriculture, the state's largest sector, will flourish once again when the Meghalaya TMC implements the new Farmers' Assistance for Rural Meghalaya (FARM) scheme. Under this, all the farmers will receive Rs. 10,000 as annual financial assistance.
FARM centers will be established as one-stop assistance in each district for farmers. These centers will ensure support to farmers from production to sales. Also, a premium-free FARM crop insurance policy will cover all crops, including those in horticulture, to ensure zero crop loss.
