🌺#ANZAC Day is a day commemorating all Australians who served and died on Gallipoli in 1915 and in other military operations since then. It was not only Australians and New Zealand soldiers who fought in Gallipoli 🇦🇺 There were 16,000 Indian troops who fought alongside them and 1600 lost their lives 🇮🇳 Their contribution remained unrecognised until Professor Peter Stanley published the book “Die in Battle, Do Not Despair: Indians in Gallipoli 1915”.
In today's program, RJ Kishor talks to Professor Stanley about this book and the significant contributions of #Indian troops in the battle of #Gallipoli.
