The Telegraph’s special correspondent Harry DeQuetteville is joined by Dr Iain Brown, head of data science at SAS, Tera Allas, director of research and economics at McKinsey, and Robert Jamieson, chief digital officer from Legal & General.
“Half of all activities currently being done in the workplace are potentially automatable by current technologies” Tera Allas, McKinsey states “...as many as 59 million jobs across Europe could be at risk.”
Dr Iain Brown believes it is up to governments to offset the societal impact of automation. We see more jobs created from this than lost but the obligations are going to be on governments to skill and re-skill populations to deal with the ever evolving technological environment
