These practical and beautiful Blue Slate Chippings are from Kirkby in Furness quarry in Cumbria's southern Lake District. The stone has a mid to dark blue appearance when wet and a pale blue/grey appearance when dry with some occasional natural brown flecks of colour.
Because the slate we process is pre-selected, this ensures that the specification is consistent, and typically +/- 10mm of your chosen size, whereas most of our competitors send large proportions of small pieces and dust.
