Persons reported: Makes Pumps 4 fire response to blaze

At 20:14 on Sunday, 22nd December a Make Pumps 4 and Aerials 1 response was initiated after a house fire on Huddersfield Rd, New Mill in #Holmfirth.

Firefighters from Skelmanthorpe, Huddersfield, Rastrick and Slaithwaite Fire Stations were sent to the scene.

It proved to be a House 100% involved.

West Yorkshire fire and Rescue Service have said “Fire Crews used 64mm jets, hosereels, breathing apparatus and 1 aerial appliance to prevent the fire spreading to adjoining properties to this semi-detached house. West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service Fire Investigation team attended and 1 male was taken to hospital with smoke inhalation.

“Crews were ably assisted by our partners in West Yorkshire Police, Yorkshire Ambulance Service and Northern Power.

“By 22:30 the Incident was scaled back to 1 Fire Engine and 1 Aerial whilst Fire Investigation and damping down takes place.”
