Solutions of copper sulfate and sodium carbonate are prepared and then mixed. The result is a precipitate of blue copper carbonate. The precipitate gets washed and is shown drying on paper. Copper carbonate is a useful precursor. It will be used in upcoming videos.
Copper sulfate can be found as root killers at the hardware store. Sodium carbonate is washing soda from the grocery, and is also used for pools and hot tubs.
