Congressman Don Manzullo spoke recently with a political science class at Northern Illinois University that included several students who expressed a desire to run for public office. Manzullo noted the diverse backgrounds of all the students -- they all had different reasons for wanting to serve the people -- and explained that Congress is equally as diverse. The bottom line, Manzullo said, is that those who want to run for public office must absolutely have a passion to serve the people.
