Seville was a great city to stop over mid way through our crazy itinerary. We had to bounce around from Santorini to Morocco and now we have made it to Seville from Marbella, Spain.
Seville gets HOT so make sure you're prepared for that heat when you visit. It's a great place to visit with kids due to the area being flat so great for strollers. To get around, you can take the bus and those don't get too crowded.
I definitely recommend the airbnb that we stayed at. It wasn't too far from the city center and a 10 minute walk from the train station, which was super convenient for us. The place is perfect for a family of 2 - 4 people.
TIP: Seville can also be a great base if you're trying to visit the rest of the Andalucia region of Spain. One thing to note is if you take the train, book ahead of time. The trains in Spain aren't cheap and the system also doesn't recognize that you are booking with a child so it will seat you separately.
