The "GO" evacuation order that was given to the Campbell Creek and French Creek areas in Sunday's community meeting has since been downgraded to "SET" as of Saturday, Sept. 10, according to the Payette National Forest.
Homeowners should be notified of the change by the CodeRED notification system. At this time, only homeowners are allowed to return to the area, which will remain in a "SET" status; this means people should be prepared to re-evacuate if necessary. Currently, no structures have been lost to the fire.
Those returning to the area should be aware that firefighters and equipment may still remain in the vicinity, and refrain from removing any flags or numbered signs which are important reference tools for crew members. Firefighters will also continue monitoring the area and working on fire suppression.
