I was visiting Iceland in late March 2015 when I met some girls who said they were going snorkeling in the continental divide the next day. I looked up the area on the internet and said why not. Silfra is located in Þingvallavatn Lake which located in Thingvellir Park in Iceland about a 45 minute drive from Reyjavik.
The water was crystal clear straight to the bottom and the water temperature is 2-4°Celsius all year around. We had dry and wet suits on which were not the "un-holiest" of suits as a little water did seep in. It was all part of the experience, and a great experience it was.
The Go Pro Hero3+ did a great job capturing the true color of the adventure and was by far a great investment for this trip.
