Finally, a CNG hatchback that doesn't feel like a compromise. Here are three things to know about the Tata Tiago CNG AMT.

First, the premiumisation of CNGs started when Tata started offering CNG on their higher variants. And now they are also offering you the convenience of the AMT automatic.

Second, it has some boot space now. Because of the twin (CNG) cylinder layout, there is some boot space remaining, which adds to the convenience that is usually missing in CNGs. This is still in no way comparable to the regular Tata Tiago for boot space.

Third, in terms of driving for city use, it is convenient. It is smooth, it's responsible and the AMT works well too. It is only when you want to drive faster, or want to go at higher speeds that you will want added performance, in which case you can switch to petrol. And yes, on CNG alone, you can travel over 200km in the city.
