You are fed up with tripping over shoes which cover every inch of the floor in the hall that you are about to visit Ikea store determined to buy a shoe cabinet. An excellent decision but with so many types and sized offered on the market which one to go for? I compared two popular products: Ikea Trones and Stall, have a quick look and make some measurements before you set off on your shopping trip.

Both Trones and Stall have a simple but sleek design. Not only do they look good but they fit into just about in any space, as well. Because of they sizes both Ikea STÄLL and Trones shoe cabinets are ideal for narrow hallways, but they will look good in other rooms, too.
You can choose between 3 and 4-compartment Stall shoe cabinets (79 x 148 & 96 x 90 respectively) whereas Trones are sold in packs of 2 so you can create own arrangements. They are manufactured from different materials: Stall shoe cabinet is made from particleboard covered with acrylic paint (gloss finish) and Trones are plastic (matt finish).

These shoe cabinets have to be fastened firmly to the wall or they will collapse. Different wall material requires different types of fixing devices so double check what is suitable for the walls in your home.

To attached Trones in my house I had to use 2 types of fixing: for plasterboard and brick wall.
