President of the Senate Ahmad Lawan is optimistic that the Electoral Act Amendment Bill will be signed by President Muhammadu Buhari despite the rejection of some clauses on the bill. Section 52:3 of the act which adopts direct primaries as the mode of determining elective positions within parties, has drawn the ire of State governors who are vehemently against it
