The Independent Electoral and Boundaries commission will tomorrow know if it will proceed to begin the printing of presidential ballot papers or no. The exercise was slated for 18th Tuesday but hangs in limbo after NASA and other interested parties won at the High Court.
The Court of Appeal last friday heard that IEBC had adequately consulted most stakeholders including parliament before the direct award of the ballot printing contract to Dubai based printing firm Alghurair.
The court was also told that the High Court made a mistake in its ruling when when it adjudicated the case as a constitutional matter instead of a judicial review matter. The bench of 5 retired and used the weekend to draft the ruling after a 9 hour hearing session.
