By the 1890s, the age of the Wild West is coming to a close, but the notorious Doolin Gang (the Wild Bunch) still dominates Oklahoma Territory. Their members have robbed banks and trains, and cut down officers in their way. To tackle the Wild Bunch, troubled lawman Frank Canton turns to the thieving Dunn Brothers to act as bounty hunters. In an outlaw chase joined by legendary deputy marshals called the Three Guardsmen (Bill Tilghman, Heck Thomas, and Chris Madsen), rivalries for the reward money begin to turn the bounty hunters against each other.
