Four American basketball players living in Turkey have been involved in a shooting incident at a night club.
Two of them were seriously wounded, and the other two escaped injury by hiding underneath a table.
Bursa police said that initial investigations suggested the two were wounded by a bouncer's gun when they became involved in a fight after verbally abusing some Turkish women.
Former U-S professional basketball player Dallas Comegys was in a critical condition on Thursday following an early-morning shooting incident at a Turkish night club that left another American player wounded.
Comegys, of Istanbul's Fenerbahce club, and Larry Spriggs, of Bursa's Oyak Renault, were shot as they left the club in Bursa following an altercation with several Turks.
Three Turks were detained by police in connection with the shooting.
Dallas Comegys, 31, a former DePaul star who spent two seasons in the N-B-A with New Jersey and San Antonio, was shot in the chest.
Larry Spriggs was listed as being in 'good' condition after surgery.
They were treated at a local hospital.

The Anatolia news agency reported that Comegys and Spriggs were with two other American players in the night club at the time of the attack.
Henry Turner and Ricky Winslow, who both play for Fenerbahce, escaped injury by hiding beneath a table.
Bursa police said that their initial investigation and statements from witnesses indicated that the four Americans verbally abused some Turkish women coming out of the night club.
This led to a fight with the men accompanying the women.
A few minutes later, another patron, possibly connected to the women, was beaten up by the players, police said.
A bouncer came to the man's aid and fired his gun, wounding the two players.
The three Fenerbahce players were in Bursa for a scheduled weekend game against Oyak Renault. The game was called off due to the shooting.
