What we know about climate change is bad. What we don’t know is worse. Think of a bathtub as the earth’s atmosphere. The flow represents carbon emissions. The drain is how our planet absorbs those emissions. When we started burning coal, we in effect, turned the flow on full. Now the drain can’t keep up and we’re paying the price: in storms, and droughts, and property damage. Keeping carbon emissions level year after year won’t keep the tub from overflowing. We have to turn down the faucet.
