A simple way to plant winter/rye grass in your yard.






Here are some steps to follow when planting your winter lawn.

1.) Set your lawn mower to the lowest setting and mow once or twice
2.) Rake up any extra grass on the lawn
3.) Spread the rye grass seed on the lawn really thick
(optional) You can cover the seed with seed cover or compost to help speed up the germination and protect the seed from the birds, but the birds will get their fair share regardless.
4.) Water 3 to 4 times a day for around 6 to 8 minutes each

Grass should start popping up within a week or two and you will have one nice looking lawn.
