Indian PM Modi Embarks on 3-day Visit to Brunei, Singapore to Strengthen Ties
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has embarked on a three-day visit to the Southeast Asian nations of Brunei and Singapore. The official visit aims to strengthen the partnership between India, Brunei, and Singapore. PM Modi will be in Brunei Darussalam from September 3 to 4. This is the first-ever visit by an Indian PM to the island nation and coincides with the 40th anniversary of India and Brunei's diplomatic relations. PM Modi is set to meet Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah to discuss bilateral cooperation. Following Brunei, Modi will visit Singapore from September 4-5, where he will engage with President Tharman Shanmugaratnam and business leaders. The visit marks 60 years of India-Singapore diplomatic ties. According to reports, India is expected to sign several key agreements with Singapore during PM Modi's visit, including in the semiconductor sector.
