Iraq's Foreign Ministry says about 40 Iraqi citizens have been killed and 120 wounded by two suicide bombings in the Syrian capital Damascus. A rebel group called Sword of the Levant claimed responsibility for the attacks. A Damascus hospital director said at least 41 were killed in the attacks. Saturday's explosions occurred near the Bab al-Saghir ancient cemetery, which houses several Shiite mausoleums that draw pilgrims from all over the world. Shi'ite shrines are a frequent target for Sunni extremists -- not only in Syria but also in neighbouring Iraq.
