Mellunmäki metro station in eastern Helsinki. This is the northernmost metro station in the world.. Opened 1st September 1989. It is final stop for the northern branch of Helsinki metro. Mellunmäki is ground-level station. The most norhternmost metro station which is (deep) under ground is Sörnäinen in Helsinki.
