Google Cloud (GCP)
1. Let’s launch VM instances to launch machine for Hadoop or any other purposes.
I need 6 machines/nodes/instances with 2 vCPU.
2. Google Cloud (GCP) only provides 8 vCPU per region.
3. Let’s increase the CPU Quota to be able to use more than 8 vCPU in only one region e.g.
us-central1 (Iowa) - so we do not need to face ssh issues later.
4. We are not able to tick the quota boxes. We need to talk to Google Support to help us fix this issue.
5. Google customer care representative advised me to activate the account to be able to raise a ticket to increase the vCPUs limit from default - 8 to the desired number e.g. 24 CPUs.
6. This request will be processed in 24 to 48 hours.
