Indonesia is seeking election for non-permanent membership of the United Nations Security Council for the period of 2019-2020, at elections to be held in New York in June 2018.

In line with its constitutional mandate, Indonesia is committed to fully participating in and contributing to the maintenance of a world order based on freedom, lasting peace and social justice.

The Government of the Republic of Indonesia has been consistently contributing to the efforts aimed at achieving the principles and purposes of the United Nations Charter in maintaining international peace and security, particularly in light of the major dynamic changes that are taking place in the current global arena.

Indonesia is looking forward to continue working hard together in making sure that no one is left behind.
