Amnesty International has warned about the looming death sentence of three young protesters
Javad Rouhi, 31, arrested on Sept 22, was held in solitary confinement for 40 days
He was severely beaten, flogged while tied to a pole, shocked with stun guns, and sexually assaulted
Mehdi Mohammadifard, 19, was severely beaten during his arrest on Oct 2, and suffered a broken nose
He was held for a week in solitary confinement and was beaten, hung upside down, and raped
Arshia Takdastan, 18, was arrested on Sept 24, and held in solitary confinement for 28 days
His interrogator brutally beat him and threatened to detain and torture his father
All three were sentenced to death for taking part in anti-regime protests
They were denied access to lawyers and given unfair trials
They were tortured and threatened to make incriminating confessions.
Amnesty: “Iranian authorities must immediately quash the convictions and death sentences of these young men and drop all charges”
